D.C. Approves Stricter Homeschool Rules

The District of Columbia State Board of Education approved requirements August 1st that now require parents to submit an official letter to the Office of the Superintendent of Education (OSSE) declaring their intention to homeschool.  Parents are also now required to maintain and, when requested, submit a portfolio of their students' work for review by OSSE officials up to twice a year.  To read the new requlations, click here.
