The Federal Trade Comission (FTC) writes that it has approved the release of its Report to Congress Under the Do Not Call Improvement Act of 2007 (DNCIA). The act was signed into law on February 15, 2008, and requires the FTC to report improvements of the system to Congress.

Efforts to improve accuracy of the National Do Not Call Registry are outlined in the report, including the implementation of a new system that removes disconnected or reassigned phone numbers from the list.
