You can read the entire thread there.]

My late husband and his sister have a piece of property in Florida given to them from their parents in 1988 with Full rights of Survivorship. My husband passed away in 1998 and his sister took over all the tax payments from then on. In 2005, my sister-in-law passed away and this property was obviously left to her husband but his sister-in-law told me that she no longer had the property.
I just found out that my brother-in-law passed away in 2011. After some searching, I am finding out that this property is still listed in my sister-in-laws name with her brother-in-law as a contact. However, the only death certificate listed on the property is that of my husband.
My question is: I am the only surviving immediate family member. I am reading that under the Full Rights of Survivorship, that my husbands share should have possibly fallen under his estate and with his sister now gone, that I still should have had a right to the property.
Instead, it appears that this will eventually fall into the hands of my brother-in-law's brother and his wife, who is not an immediate decendent to my mother and father-in-law.
Do I have a case or am I barking up a dead tree? Is this property really now just the estate of my brother-in-law and nothing more than that? Did all of my late husbands rights go when he passed away?

Thanks,
Jerri Martin
