You can read the entire thread there.]

My stepfather owned some raw land in WI with his wife as joint tenants. She passed away in 1981. He believed that he had full ownership due to her passing and he deeded the property to my mother before his passing in November of 2010. My mother has a buyer for the property but the title company says that Anne (passed away) still have an interest along with my mom. Help! Does she and will we have to open up an estate for her?
