I am Pro Se because an attorney stole my $2300 from me, failing to do anything he promised after I was illicitly arrested. I had never been arrested before. This was in 2006. I was abused by 12 officers, and sexually assaulted in the psychiatric hospital they forced me in when I told them they were obviously lying and could care less about justice. The harmless package I mailed to the university president was not considered any threat to the president himself, yet the prosecutor kept a spin on it out of hate - malicious and vexatious actions in retaliation of my dropping attorneys on mva's I was injured in and a workers comp case - because they lie - to get more money on the case. I was charged Reckless Endangerment, 2d degree and it did not even meet the elements of the charge. I was NOT in a public place, there was no intent (nor did prosecution prove any intent) and there was no proof of alarm of the public. One person said she opened the package sent to the university president and said she did not like the paperweight I mailed. That was it. She said, verbatum, "it was ugly". She was a woman I saw in church every week. Needless to say, she was worse than a backstabber. But attorneys don't want to help me. They cater to the dishonest practices of the courts. the prosecutor was charged on 180 counts of embezzling, yet the chief state's attorney helped him out, making the charges only two cases so his defense attorney could argue Double Jeopardy. Rather than get life in prison for the court-restricted three-year audit performed by the state police, he only got 10 months and went to work for a criminal defense attorney - one of his buddies who owed him, I am sure, for giving him business. They keep making me suffer. They secretly dropped the original charge two years later - yes, one year past the statute of limitations and rather than dispose of the case, they held a trial and charged me in trial, for three more misdemeanors--reckless endangerment of someone else and two counts of breach of peace -all for the same charge. Double Jeopardy? Sure! But I am not a supervisory prosecutor who can get away with murder in this state! I never did anything wrong, they continue to break every law in the book, and I get no help, only hit with more corruption as tactics to get rid of me - such as depriving me of fee waivers so I have to pay for transcripts - they owe me $500. i almost died in 2010 after an illegal housing eviction. They are so crooked here and yet even when I claim my rights, that no disabled person can be evicted for lapse of time (my landlord turned out to be a drug dealer and his brother was a career criminal) - where is justice? I was in an out of state ICU. They were going to transfer me to the med ward, yet when I called the courts and told them proceedings needed to be stayed since I was in the hospital, they had the hospital psychiatrist come to my room, not identify himself, in scrubs, and forced me to his ward with no notification! Where can I get help from someone? This has been hell for me and the society here does not reach out, they want to serve the beurocracy and could care less if I live or die, it seems. Yet many I speak have no trust in criminal defense attorneys here. They have their own mafia - the courts care little about justice and want to get rid of people like me who get in the way of criminal activitiy. I reported my landlord - police got mad. I hope someone may be able to offer me real solutions.
