I wish to know how to file in court myself for alimony, as I am abandoned by husband
and given nothing to live on.

You would need to file papers with the local court seeking a divorce. Alimony can be awarded while the divorce case is pending. You are legally entitled to file these papers yourself, but because this is a complicated area, you should first try to find an attorney to represent you. If you cannot afford to pay an attorney, you may be able to receive free assistance from a local "legal aid" clinic.
