My family has been in disagreement about my grandfather's estate for 3 years now, and it has been 1 court apperance after another. My Uncle which is the Personal Rep for the estate is now trying to recover assests from a joint checking account that my grandfather owned jointly with myself and my mother. Everythiing that I have read states that the Personal Rep has to prepare the administration based on date of death balances. Does he have the right to request documents on our jointly owned accounts from 3 years prior to my grandfathers date of death and try to recover funds? (The request has been made without a subpeona)
