We are a small thrift store that has recently received our 501c3 status. It was a long journey for us since we didn'thave anyone really familiar with a non profit corporation. My question is for clarity on the yearly requirements that need to be taken to ensure our store stays in good standing with the state of missouri and the Federal government. We have filed our yearly registration and would appreciate some expertice on what all needs to be filed yearly. Thanks, Robert Taylor

The Missouri Attorney General requires registration and Annual Reports. Those forms are available here: http://ago.mo.gov/forms/forms.htm#charity Charities must also file annual reports with the Missouri Secretary of State, just like other corporations. https://www.sos.mo.gov/BusinessEntity/annualreport/reportinfo.asp Finally, annual reports must be made to the IRS. More information about that is here. http://www.irs.gov/charities/article/0,,id=96581,00.html Best of luck.
