In the state of NM, is it a requirement by law to ask every person for an ID and refuse the sale if they can't produce one, or only those who are not obviously over the age of 21? I feel it's ridiculous and insulting to ask someone who is clearly a senior citizen for an ID. I'm under the impression that it is not necessary to card everyone, but I want to be sure I'm not in violation if I don't.
