My son is being charged as a felon with possession of a weapon. They are trying him a a career criminal.. He has three prior felonies, but the first one he ever had he was a class C range 1. Which carries3 no more than 6 years he signed for 3 and served them. Tennessee Code 40-35-112 states that, the attorney says they are going by Tennessee code 40-35-111 which is max 6 to 10. How can he avoid signing for 15 years when both codes are conflicting without having to appeal?
