My mother passed away, a little over a week ago and she wasn't able to let us know where she put the will. I know she made one because a few of the family members said she did. What can we do?

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. If you haven't already, be sure to check whether there might be a safe deposit box your mother might have rented where she banked. If a lawyer helped her make the will, the lawyer might have the original. If she named an executor, that person should have a copy. If no will at all can be found, then your mother is considered to have died "intestate" and the property in her estate will pass to her family according to the state's laws, which vary.
