    could they change a will after having alzheimers

    It depends on how advanced the Alzheimer's is. Alzheimer's disease does not necessarily make someone incapable of making important decisions such as changing a will. A physician should be able to make an examination of a patient with Alzheimer's and provide a report as to their level of functioning. Certainly some patients with advanced Alzheimer's could be found to lack mental capacity to make important financial decisions, but it would be wrong to generalize about all Alzheimer's sufferers. Anyone seeking to prove that a person lacked mental capacity to change a will in Wisconsin must also prove it with clear and convincing evidence. I hope this helps.
