The first thing to look at is whether your employment is covered by an employment contract or a collective bargaining agreement (for union employees). Unless they are union members, most employees in the U.S. are not subject to any employment contract, and may be terminated "at will" (whenever the employer decides). Only a lawyer who studies the facts of your case can verify whether you have an employment contract.
Inconsistent treatment of different employees, by itself, is not wrongful termination, assuming the employer has not discriminated on any prohibited basis such as race, gender, etc. And an employer's violation of its own internal guidelines is not wrongful termination unless those guidelines form part of an employment contract, or, again, if there is some improper discrimination on the basis of race, gender, etc. Unlawful retaliation is another type of wrongful termination, but you have not mentioned anything about retaliation.
Discuss the facts of your case with an attorney for specific guidance on your situation. I hope this helps.
