Our neice purchased a used auto in Georgia. She was allowed to take the car over the weekend while dealer got answer on financing. She took car to mechanic who found $500 altenator problem. Monday when she took that info to the dealership she was told if they fix it they would have to add $500 to the purchase price. Or, they could give her back $500 of her downpayment and she could take it to her mechanic. They refused to pay for it at their expense. When an issue is discovered before any paperwork is signed, shouldnt the dealer make the repair?
