State Law
Arizona
includes both of the following:

(a) A display on a wireless communication device of a department-generated driver license, nonoperating identification license, vehicle registration card or other official record of the department that is presented to a law enforcement officer or in a court or an administrative proceeding Arizona Laws 28-101

includes :

means property that is held for possible presentation in a judicial or administrative proceeding to establish the truth or falsity of an alleged matter of fact Arizona Laws 12-940
California
means any paper, book, map, account, or document California Water Code 1076
means testimony, writings, material objects, or other things presented to the senses that are offered to prove the existence or nonexistence of a fact California Evidence Code 140
Michigan
means any property that furnishes or tends to furnish proof in a legal matter Michigan Laws 434.21
North Carolina
When referring to matter in the possession of or available to a prosecutor, any tangible property or potential testimony which may be offered in evidence in a criminal action North Carolina General Statutes 15A-971
Utah
means property, contraband, or an item or substance that:

(a)  is seized or collected as part of an investigation or prosecution of an offense; and

(b)  may reasonably be used to incriminate or exculpate an individual for an offense Utah Code 77-11c-101
