The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announces it has approved a Federal Register notice, which will seek public comment regarding revisions to the Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. Proposed revisions include requiring disclosure of material connections between advertisers and endorsers and clear disclosure of typical results a consumer may expect if a testimonial does not represent them. FTC's Web site currently contains the notice, and public comments are welcome through January 30, 2009.
