The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports that Nikolai Grushevski has filed suit against the Hooters restaurant chain for refusing to hire him as a server. In a similar case in 1997, a $3.75 million settlement required that Hooters Girls would continue to be the chain's only servers, but the company would establish gender-neutral jobs such as a host or bartender. Grushevski's suit challenges this agreement, stating that it is still discriminatory that the company will not allow men to serve food in the restaurants. He is seeking an undisclosed amount of money for both emotional and punitive damages.
