Michigan's New Law Requires Domestic Abusers and Paroled Stalkers to Wear GPS Devices

 On July 10, Michigan Governor Jennifer M. Granholm signed a law that allows courts to order domestic violence suspects and convicted stalkers on parole to wear GPS devices. Under House Bill 4453, a domestic violence suspect can be required to carry or wear a GPS device as a condition of release. Under House Bill 4330 paroled prisoners who have been convicted of aggravated stalking may be required to wear GPS devices. Press Release
