Republic Employees to Receive Compensation Required Under Illinois Law

The Illinois AG Office announces an agreement has been reached which will secure compensation required under state law for over 200 union employees at Republic Windows and Doors Inc. (Republic). Under the agreement, which included the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase and others, the employees will receive compensation for an additional 60 days and vacation pay.

AG Lisa Madigan expressed concern about customers who have paid deposits to the company toward the purchase of windows. If these customers find difficulty in reaching Republic to obtain refunds on these deposits, they should call the AG consumer fraud hotline at 1-800-386-5438.
