Rockford, Illinois Enacts Fines for Medical Alert False Alarms

The city of Rockford, Illinois has enacted a new false alarm fine to be levied against assisted living centers.  If a facility requires residents to use a medical alert system, it will be subject to a $100 fine for any false alarms. Facilities will, however, be allowed four "free" false alarms per year.  Read the full story in the Rockford Register Star.
