The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office reports it has reached an agreement with New Jersey-based Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us for allegedly failing to remit vacation pay owed to employees that left the companies. The company has agreed to pay $95,800 in restitution for 813 former employees.  An additional $8,000 penalty is to be paid to the State of Massachusetts.

Complaints received by the AG Office beginning in February 2008 led to a self-audit by Toys "R" Us and subsequent investigation by the AG's Fair labor Division. It was determined that  547 former Toys "R" Us and 266 former Babies "R" Us employees were not paid their vacation pay after leaving the company between October 2006 and December 2008.
