Yuba College student Ryan Dozier filed suit against the school this month for violating his First Amendment rights. Dozier says he was threatened with expulsion and arrest for expressing his conservative Christian views on campus in February, 2008. While handing out gospel tracts on campus, an officer informed Dozier he lacked the proper permits for committing such an act. The Alliance Defense Fund Center for Academic Freedom claims that colleges and universities across the country are increasingly censoring students with Christian and conservative viewpoints without justification.
