Notwithstanding the provisions of § 27-52, the commanding officer of any such company of the Governor’s Guards may dismiss any member belonging thereto who neglects his duties, but such member may, within thirty days after receiving notice of such dismissal, appeal to the Adjutant General, who may annul or affirm such dismissal. The commanding officer of such company may fill the vacancy created by such dismissal subject to the provisions of sections 27-6a and 27-7.
