Terms Used In Iowa Code 321.86
- Director: means the director of the department. See Iowa Code 321I.1
- Owner: means a person, other than a lienholder, having the property right in or title to an all-terrain vehicle. See Iowa Code 321I.1
- Vehicle: means any vehicle as defined in chapter 321. See Iowa Code 321H.2
The director shall, if the owner appears of record in the director’s office, notify the owner of the fact that the vehicle or component part is in the custody of the officer, and if not of record in the director’s office, the director shall mail the description to the county treasurer of each county.
