Current as of: 2009 Sec. 19. A general inspector may seal an elevator out of service in accordance with the rules promulgated by the board or when any of the following conditions exist: (a) When in case of emergency, in the opinion of the general inspector, the elevator is in such condition as to render it unsafe for operation. (b) Failure to secure a certificate of operation or to renew such certificate. (c) Failure to comply with a correction order issued by an inspector. History: 1967, Act 227, Eff.
