What exactly are the laws in the state of Oregon pertaining to the use of registered Recreational Vehicles being used on private property? My brother-in-law was living in an RV parked in his mothers driveway. He took measures to make sure that it was safe, that the electrical thingimajiggers were hooked up correctly too.He went through a lot of trouble and expense to do things just right, he was/is a quiet and unobtrusive and private person as well....And the neighbors complained and someone came from the city and said that he could not live there in it.There are already 6 people in the house so that's why he wanted to reside in the RV.
I know there is a nuisance law in Oregon....But doesn't it have to BE a nuisance for the law to apply?Or can anyone here just call the city and say something or someone is a nuisance and that's just it they have to stop doing whatever it is? I cannot seem to find much about this on the internet (As it pertains to the City of Springfield OR anyway) Could you possibly point me to the ordinance that this issue refers to? I would really like to know more about this as it doesn't seem fair or right to me.
Thank you very much
