Current as of: 2009 (1) In any county having a population of between two hundred five thousand and two hundred fifteen thousand according to the latest official United States census, the sale, possession, discharge or use of fireworks, except sparklers and toy caps commonly used in toy cap pistols, is prohibited. (2) Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined in an amount not to exceed one hundred dollars or imprisoned for a term not to exceed thirty days. ________________________________________________________________________
