Recently some high-profile Web retailers have been targeted by advocacy groups for the disabled arguing that the sites are too difficult for the blind to navigate. In a case that was closely watched by both sides of the debate, National Federation of the Blind v. Target, the giant retailer agreed to a settlement that included making a number of significant accommodations to blind users. Matthew Kreeger of Morrison & Foerster has published an analysis of the legal issues and some recommendations to Web retailers here. |
