Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 05.35.030

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • municipality: means a political subdivision incorporated under the laws of the state that is a home rule or general law city, a home rule or general law borough, or a unified municipality. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

A municipality shall maintain a facility and employ it, or cause it to be employed, for the uses intended by Alaska Stat. § 05.35.01005.35.070 by direct operation, by operation through a contract manager, or by lease.
