All contracts issued, delivered or renewed on or after July 1, 2017 by a corporation in this state must provide coverage for lawful health care services that are provided by a health care provider to a subscriber regardless of the familial relationship of the health care provider to the subscriber if the health care service would be covered were it provided to a subscriber who was not related to the health care provider. The contract may limit the coverage to those health care providers who are members of the corporation’s provider network.
