A. If a manifest for a shipment of hazardous waste required to be submitted to the director is improperly completed, the department may return it to the person who prepared the manifest and require the person to properly complete and resubmit the manifest. The fee for resubmittal of a manifest is twenty dollars.
Terms Used In Arizona Laws 49-922.01
- Hazardous waste: means garbage, refuse, sludge from a waste treatment plant, water supply treatment plant or air pollution control facility, or other discarded materials, including solid, liquid, semisolid or contained gaseous material, resulting from industrial, commercial, mining and agricultural operations or from community activities which because of its quantity, concentration or physical, chemical or infectious characteristics may cause or significantly contribute to an increase in mortality or an increase in serious irreversible or incapacitating reversible illness or pose a substantial present or potential hazard to human health or the environment if improperly treated, stored, transported, disposed of or otherwise managed or any waste identified as hazardous pursuant to section 49-922. - Manifest: means the form used for identifying the quantity, composition, origin, routing and destination of hazardous waste during its transportation from the point of generation to the point of disposal, treatment or storage. See Arizona Laws 49-921
- Person: means an individual, trust, firm, joint stock company, corporation, including a government corporation, partnership, association, state, municipality, commission, political subdivision of the state, interstate body or federal facility. See Arizona Laws 49-921
B. All monies collected pursuant to this section shall be deposited in the water quality assurance revolving fund established by section 49-282.
