  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Board: means the California Public Library Construction and Renovation Board. See California Education Code 19986
  • Committee: means the California Library Construction and Renovation Finance Committee established pursuant to Section 19972. See California Education Code 19986
  • Conduct: includes all active and passive behavior, both verbal and nonverbal. See California Evidence Code 125
