  • application: includes the original documents or writings filed and any other supporting documents or writings including supporting documents provided or filed contemporaneously, or later, in support of the application whether provided or filed by the applicant or by any other person in support of the application. See California Education Code 52301.5
  • Board: means the Veterinary Medical Board. See California Education Code 52055.730
  • Board: means the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. See California Education Code 72104
  • Board: includes "bureau" "commission" "committee" "department" "division" "examining committee" "program" and "agency. See California Education Code 52301.3
  • Board: as used in this chapter , includes a board, advisory board, commission, examining committee, committee or other similarly constituted body exercising powers under this code. See California Education Code 52176
  • Dealer: means a person who is a grantee of a dealership situated in this state. See California Education Code 74108
  • Dealership: means a contract or agreement, either express or implied, whether oral or written, between two or more persons, by which a person is granted the right to sell or distribute goods or services, or to use a trade name, trademark, service mark, logotype, or advertising or other commercial symbol, in which there is a community of interest in the business of offering, selling, or distributing goods or services at wholesale, or at retail, by lease, agreement, or otherwise.   • Grant: means a sale, lease, or transfer of any kind. See California Education Code 74108
  • Grantor: means a person who sells, leases, or otherwise transfers a dealership. See California Education Code 74108
  • Hearing aid dispenser: as used in this article , means a person engaged in the practice of fitting or selling hearing aids to an individual with impaired hearing. See California Education Code 74102
  • License: includes certificate, registration or other means to engage in a business or profession regulated by this code. See California Education Code 52301.3
  • material: includes a statement or omission substantially related to the qualifications, functions, or duties of the business or profession. See California Education Code 52301.5
  • Person: means any individual, partnership, corporation, limited liability company, or other organization or combination thereof, except that only individuals can be licensed under this chapter. See California Education Code 72104
  • Person: means a natural person, partnership, joint venture, corporation, limited liability company, or other entity. See California Education Code 74108
  • Practice of fitting or selling hearing aids: as used in this article , means those practices used for the purpose of selection and adaptation of hearing aids, including direct observation of the ear, testing of hearing in connection with the fitting and selling of hearing aids, taking of ear mold impressions, fitting or sale of hearing aids, and any necessary postfitting counseling. See California Education Code 74015
  • Regional occupational program: as used in this chapter , means a sequence of career technical or technical training programs that meet the criteria and standards of instructional programs in regional occupational centers and are conducted in a variety of physical facilities that are not necessarily situated in one single plant or site. See California Education Code 52303
  • Regulations: means the rules and regulations set forth in Division 20 (commencing with Section 2000) of Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations. See California Education Code 52055.730
