All personal property received from the state land settlement shall be held by the department for use by it, for transfer to and for use by other state agencies which receive their support from the General Fund, or it may be sold.

  • Personal property: All property that is not real property.
  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
  • State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Government Code 18
