  • Board: means the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles. See California Education Code 90048
  • Board: means the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego. See California Education Code 90054
  • Board: means the Trustees of the California State University. See California Education Code 90011
  • Bonds: as used in this chapter means the written evidence of any obligation incurred by the board payable out of revenues as provided in this chapter in order to secure funds with which to carry out the purposes of this chapter irrespective of the form of such obligation whether in the form of bonds, notes, debentures, interest bearing certificates or other forms prescribed by the board. See California Government Code 26399
  • Commission: means the Citizens Redistricting Commission in the County of Los Angeles established pursuant to Section 21532. See California Education Code 90048
  • Commission: means the Independent Redistricting Commission established by subdivision (b). See California Education Code 90054
  • Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Business Oversight. See California Health and Safety Code 128365
  • Corporation: as used in this part means a corporation which is organized under, or subject to this part, including a central organization. See California Corporations Code 12232
  • County elections official: means the San Diego County Registrar of Voters. See California Education Code 90054
  • Deferred deposit originator: means a person who offers, originates, or makes a deferred deposit transaction. See California Health and Safety Code 128365
  • Deferred deposit transaction: means a transaction whereby a person defers depositing a customer's personal check until a specific date, pursuant to a written agreement for a fee or other charge, as provided in Section 23035. See California Health and Safety Code 128365
  • Department: means the Department of Business Oversight. See California Health and Safety Code 128365
  • Directors: means natural persons, designated in the articles or bylaws or elected by the incorporators, and their successors and natural persons designated, elected, or appointed by any other name or title to act as members of the governing body of the corporation. See California Corporations Code 12233
  • Electrolysis: as used in this chapter includes electrolysis or thermolysis. See California Education Code 92112
  • Immediate family member: means a spouse, child, in-law, parent, or sibling. See California Education Code 90048
  • Indenture: means an agreement entered into by the board pursuant to which revenue bonds are issued, regardless of whether the agreement is expressed in the form of a resolution of the board or by other instrument. See California Education Code 90011
  • Landscape architect: means a person who holds a license to practice landscape architecture in this state under the authority of this chapter. See California Government Code 26334
  • license: includes certificate or permit. See California Education Code 90002
  • Licensee: means any person who offers, originates, or makes a deferred deposit transaction, who arranges a deferred deposit transaction for a deferred deposit originator, who acts as an agent for a deferred deposit originator, or who assists a deferred deposit originator in the origination of a deferred deposit transaction. See California Health and Safety Code 128365
  • Notice: includes all papers and orders required to be served in any proceedings before any court, board, or officer, or when required by law to be served independently of such proceeding. See California Government Code 26660
  • On the certificate: as used in this part means that a statement appears on the face of a certificate or on the reverse thereof with a reference thereto on the face. See California Corporations Code 12242
  • Person: means an individual, a corporation, a partnership, a limited liability company, a joint venture, an association, a joint stock company, a trust, an unincorporated organization, a government entity, or a political subdivision of a government entity. See California Health and Safety Code 128365
  • person: includes any individual, firm, partnership, general corporation, professional corporation, or limited liability partnership, as authorized by the Corporations Code. See California Government Code 26299.030
  • Person: includes any individual, firm, corporation, association, copartnership, trust, business trust, receiver, trustee, or conservator for any thereof, but does not include this state or any public corporation, political subdivision, city, county, district, or any agency thereof or of this state. See California Education Code 90011
  • Project: means any one or more dormitories or other housing facilities, boarding facilities, student union or activity facilities, vehicle parking facilities, alternative transportation programs, or any other auxiliary or supplementary facilities for individual or group accommodation, owned or operated or authorized to be acquired, constructed, furnished, equipped, and operated by the board for use by students, faculty members, or other employees of any one or more campuses of the California State University, or a combination of those facilities, which may include facilities already completed and facilities authorized for future completion, or any other facilities designated by the board as a project in providing for the issuance of revenue bonds or notes.   • Regents of the University of California: means any of the following:

  • Revenue: as used in this chapter shall mean all fees, rates, charges, rentals or other income and revenue actually received or receivable by or for the account of the board from the operation of any particular project including without limiting the generality of the foregoing interest allowed on any moneys or securities and any proceeds derived from the sale of any securities and any consideration in any way derived from the particular project owned, operated or maintained by the board.   • revenue bonds: means the written evidence of any obligation, other than revenue bond anticipation notes, issued by the board, payment of which is secured by a pledge of revenues or any part of revenues, as provided in this article, in order to obtain funds with which to carry out the purposes of this article, irrespective of the form of the obligations. See California Education Code 90011
  • trustees: means the Trustees of the California State University, created under Section 66600. See California Education Code 89000
