- board: means the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. See California Revenue and Taxation Code 20
- county: includes "city and county". See California Penal Code 7
- leaded cane: means a staff, crutch, stick, rod, pole, or similar device, unnaturally weighted with lead. See California Penal Code 16760
