Any official so authorized in § 54-1f may, without a warrant, arrest any person whom he finds in the act of illegally manufacturing or selling alcoholic liquor, and seize the liquor, vessels and implements of manufacture or sale in the possession of such person and detain them in some place of safekeeping. Any property seized pursuant to this section may be adjudged a nuisance by the judge or court having jurisdiction of such arrested person and ordered destroyed or otherwise disposed of in the manner provided in § 54-33g.
