(a) Any parent or guardian who permits any minor to be employed in violation of § 31-12, 31-13 or 31-14 shall be subject to penalties under sections 31-15a and 31-69a.

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
  • Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.

(b) A certificate of the age of a person made as provided in § 10-193 shall be conclusive evidence of such person’s age upon the trial of any person other than the parent or guardian for violation of any provision of said § 31-12, 31-13 or 31-14.

(c) Nothing in this chapter shall affect the provisions of § 10-184.
