- Boxing: means a contest in which the act of attack and defense is practiced with gloved fists by two contestants. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 440-1

The commission, with respect to any boxing contest or with respect to any class of contestants, may limit the number of rounds of a boxing contest within the maximum of twelve rounds.
