Terms Used In Idaho Code 54-1807

  • Board: means the state board of medicine. See Idaho Code 54-1803
  • Practice of medicine: means :

  • resident: means any person who has completed a course of study at an acceptable school of medicine and who is enrolled in a postgraduate medical training program. See Idaho Code 54-1803
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
  • Interns and residents must register with the board prior to the commencement of any activities constituting the practice of medicine in this state. Registration shall include disclosure of the applicant’s prior education and training, the program or course of study the intern or resident intends to follow, the physicians or group of physicians who will supervise the program or course of study and such other information as the board deems relevant. The board shall reserve the right to approve any such program or course of study. A registration fee shall be fixed by the board and registration must be renewed annually or biannually.
