  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
     “Short-term guardian” means a guardian of the person of a minor as appointed by a parent of the minor under Section 11-5.4 or a guardian of the person of a person with a disability as appointed by the guardian of the person with a disability under Section 11a-3.2.
