§ 55 ILCS 5/5-40001	Floodplain regulations

Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Dependent: A person dependent for support upon another.
United States: may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
