Terms Used In Indiana Code 16-31.5-12-1

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • commission: means the national administrative body, of which all states that have enacted the compact are members. See Indiana Code 16-31.5-2-5
  • rule: means a written statement by the interstate commission promulgated under Indiana Code 16-31.5-2-15
   Sec. 1. The commission shall exercise the commission’s rulemaking powers pursuant to the criteria set forth in this chapter and the rules adopted thereunder. Rules and amendments shall become binding as of the date specified in each rule or amendment.
