Sec. 5.1. If office space exists in a building owned or leased by the town, the legislative body shall provide suitable office space for the:
(1) clerk-treasurer; and
(2) staff and records of the clerk-treasurer.

Sec. 1. This chapter applies only to a town that:
(2) adopts an ordinance under this chapter.
(1) has a population of thirty-four thousand (34,000) or more; and
