Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 58-4108

  • Appraiser: means a person who develops and communicates real estate appraisals for real estate-related financial transactions and holds a current valid certification or license issued to such person under the provisions of Kan. See Kansas Statutes 58-4102
  • Board: means the real estate appraisal board established pursuant to the provisions of this act. See Kansas Statutes 58-4102
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

(a) Applications for original certification and licensure and renewal of certificates and licenses shall be made in writing to the board on forms approved by the board and shall be accompanied by the appropriate fees prescribed pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 58-4107 and amendments thereto.

(b) Applications for examination shall be made in writing to the board on forms approved by the board and shall be accompanied by the appropriate fee prescribed pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 58-4107 and amendments thereto. If a testing service has been designated by the board to administer the examination, applications for examination shall be made in writing to the testing service on forms approved by the testing service.

(c) At the time of filing an application for certification or licensure, each applicant shall sign a statement agreeing to comply with the standards set forth in this act and stating that the applicant understands the types of misconduct for which disciplinary proceedings may be initiated against a state certified or licensed appraiser, as set forth in this act.
