- Board: means the state board of mortuary arts. See Kansas Statutes 65-1760
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
All persons shall be licensed as funeral directors only after due examination by the state board of mortuary arts and the payment of an examination fee. The examination fee shall be in the amount fixed by the board in accordance with the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 65-1727 and amendments thereto. The examination fee shall be in addition to the license fee.
