Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-2427

  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Stillbirth: means any complete expulsion or extraction from its mother of a human child the gestational age of which is not less than 20 completed weeks, resulting in other than a live birth, as defined in this section, and which is not an induced termination of pregnancy. See Kansas Statutes 65-2401

When death or stillbirth occurs outside this state and the body is accompanied by a permit for burial, removal or other disposition issued in accordance with the law and regulations in force where the death or stillbirth occurred, the permit shall authorize the transportation of the body into or through this state.
