Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-6b03

  • Physician: means a person licensed to practice medicine and surgery by the state board of healing arts. See Kansas Statutes 65-6b01
  • Written informed request: means the request for the prescription of amygdalin (laetrile) and the form for such request established under Kan. See Kansas Statutes 65-6b01

A physician may prescribe or administer amygdalin (laetrile) as an adjunct to recognized, customary or accepted modes of therapy or by itself in the treatment of any malignancy, disease, illness or physical condition of a patient who has signed the written informed request substantially as set forth in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-6b05.
