The secretary of the state historical society shall not permit any of the files, documents or records of the society to be removed from the building or buildings where the society’s office and rooms are located. This section shall not prevent the removal of materials for temporary purposes or the sale, exchange, donation or other disposition of property as authorized in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-2701 and 75-2702, and amendments thereto.
