Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 28:32

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Department: means the Louisiana Louisiana Department of Health. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 28:32
  • Forensic clients: means persons transitioned from a forensic facility established pursuant to La. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 28:32
  • Forensic supervised transitional residential and aftercare facility: means an agency, business, institution, society, corporation, person or persons, or any other group, licensed by the department to provide supervised transitional residential and aftercare services to forensic clients including persons in court-ordered conditional release status. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 28:32
  • person: includes a body of persons, whether incorporated or not. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:10

            As used in this Part:

            (1) “Department” means the Louisiana Louisiana Department of Health.

            (2) “Forensic clients” means persons transitioned from a forensic facility established pursuant to La. Rev. Stat. 28:25.1(A) or (B).

            (3) “Forensic supervised transitional residential and aftercare facility” means an agency, business, institution, society, corporation, person or persons, or any other group, licensed by the department to provide supervised transitional residential and aftercare services to forensic clients including persons in court-ordered conditional release status. A forensic supervised transitional residential and aftercare facility shall provide clients referred by forensic facilities or under court-ordered forensic conditional release with individualized services to develop daily living skills and to prepare for vocational adjustment and reentry into the community.
